Marshall has qualities we need

Posted

To my fellow Gilpinites,

My name is Bruce Hartman, a 45+ year Gilpin resident. I have seen and lived many elections in Gilpin County. During my activity in “politics” I’VE ALWAYS looked at candidates first and foremost. What can/will they do for US, the residents and taxpayers? I’d suggest it should be. I’ve been criticized when I supported a Democrat, Dave Thomas for DA because he wasn’t a Republican. BUT, DA Thomas demonstrated many times his commitment to serving OUR needs. Isn’t that what we want in an elected official? Someone who looks out for OUR (the residents and taxpayers) interests? If not, it SHOULD BE!

Corey Marshall, whom I’ve known for 30+ years, has ALWAYS shown integrity, honesty and his commitment to Gilpin County. Our children are similar ages so I’ve had many interactions with the Marshall family which have always been positive. I know Corey as a man who looks forward, thinks things through and does what’s RIGHT, ALWAYS! Isn’t this the type of person we want for County Commissioner? I’ve heard it said his business experience isn’t relevant, isn’t the county a business? It has a budget, collects revenues, approves budgets.

I’d ask you to review Corey’s resume and see if he doesn’t have the qualities we NEED in a County Commissioner. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Sincerely,

Bruce W. Hartman

40 year county employee and 27 years as your elected County Sheriff
