IN LOVING MEMORY: Robert Manes

With great sadness, the Manes family has lost a member. Robert loved Nederland. Everyday was just as beautiful as it was the first day he arrived. He enjoyed reading SciFi, and camping. He leaves behind a huge family. On any given day, Robert would always find time to reach out to family members with a simple text, phone call, or even mail a blank card saying ‘hi’.

A younger brother Johnny, a younger sister Dee-Dee, and two half brothers, John and Alan, processed him in death. He leaves behind one sister Ramona, and a half-brother Mark. Robert had three grown children, two sons and one daughter. He had grandchildren and numerous cousins. Two of his cousins, Jesse and Allen, were his best friends, and more like brothers to him. They were the closest three guys could be, from the day they met as young children. He would visit them often in Texas.

Robert was Choctaw, a card holder, and proud of his heritage. We love you Robert, and you will be missed greatly. To his friends our blessing is. May the Great Spirit always walk with you, May Father Sky always look over you, and May Mother Earth always help you to stand strong upon Her.
