CSU Extension Agent Jennifer Cook and volunteer Sandy Hollingsworth presented a lesson on the trees of Gilpin County and its biodiversity the last week of school. Third grade students learned a lot from the presentation and especially enjoyed the active game about how all parts of nature are dependent on each other and continue to the county’s biodiversity.
