Hello, Peak to Peak family. It’s almost time to eat at a new venue.
Kass and Aaron Esserman are the owners and operators who are bringing Diner Bar Nederland to the old Ned’s location in Nederland. Some Ned denizens may recognize the Essermans’ names, as they used to be Nederland residents years ago.
They are partnering with Kerri Donahue as their events coordinator, and former Ned’s staff Brittany Benson and Kevin Chapman. They are currently remodeling the inside, with an opening date tentatively scheduled for September. The restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The Essermans currently own Diner Bar Lyons. Many Nederland customers have eaten there already, and may be familiar with Aaron Esserman’s cooking, which he describes as “Diner comforts with a chef’s twist.” His experience ranges from hotels and resorts – including Vail, Estes Park, and Austin – to owning food trucks and other restaurants. He has earned multiple food awards.
Some of the most popular items that we may expect here in Nederland are the meatloaf, pork chops, OG burgers, kimchi fries, pork belly sliders, and the Woody. There are many vegetarian options, plus milkshakes and martinis.
